CAREER PATH :

After Diploma in Nautical Science Course Join as Training Cadet

After 18 months Sea Experience Passing 2nd Mate Exam get promoted as 2nd Officer

With further Sea Experience Passing & Chief Mate Exam get promoted as Chief Officer

With further Sea Experience To BE PROMOTED as CAPTAIN

Promoted as 2nd Officer (2000-3000 USD Salary)

After further Sea Experience & Passing Chief mate Exam

Chief Officer (Salary 4000 – 5500 USD))

To be Promoted as CAPTAIN (7000-10000 USD)

(After 6 months Sea Service) & Passing MEO Class IV Exam

Promoted as 4th Engineer, & 3rd Engineer (Salary 2000 USD – 2500 USD)

After 12 months Sea Service & Passing MEO Class II Exam & Sea Service

Promoted as 2nd Engineer (Salary 5500 USD)

With Further Sea Experience & Passing MEO Class I Exam

Eligible to be Promoted as Chief Engineer (Salary 7000-8000 USD)

ELIGIBILITY :

PASS IN 10^th Std. (With Pass in Maths, Science Subjects, 40% Marks in English Subject either in 10^th or 12^th Standard or Degree/Diploma Course & Total Average 40% in 10^th standard).

Pass in 2 year I.T.I Course from Govt. approved institute with minimum 50% aggregate marks in final year (40% Marks in English in 10^th std or Diploma Exam.)

AGE LIMIT : 17 ½ to 25 Yrs

DURATION : 6 Months

VISION :  No Colour Blindness, 6/6 Vision, No spectacles

CAREER PATH :

After 6 Months GP Rating Course

Eligible to join as either Pre-Sea Deck Crew (or) Engine Crew

After COC from DGS Promoted as AB Seaman, Bosun in Deck Side (or) Promoted in Engine side

36 Months Sea Experience & with certain Qualifications Eligible to appear for 2nd mate Exams

Eligible to get Promotion to Second Officer & with further Sea Experience and exam as stipulated by DGS, can be promoted to Captain Level

ELIGIBILITY :

Qualification – Pass with aggregate 40% marks in 12th standard from any stream, from a recognized Board with English as a subject. The candidate to obtain atleast 40% mark  in 10th/12th std.

Medical – medically fit including eye sight and hearing as prescribed in the Merchant Shipping (Medical Examination) Rules, 2000; as amended.

AGE LIMIT : 17 ½ to 25 Yrs or (SC/ST MAX. AGE 30 YEARS)

DURATION : ( 6 Months )

VISION : Use of corrective lenses for eyesight is permitted but the maximum permissible limits, at entry, are 6/12 in each eye or 6/9 in better eye and 6/18 in other eye for distant unaided vision. Color blindness is not permitted.

36 Months Sea Experience Eligible to appear for 2nd mate Exams ( or ) MEO Class IV Exam

Eligible to get Promotion to Second Officer & with further Sea Experience and exam as stipulated by DGS, can be promoted to Captain Level

ELIGIBILITY :

i) Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with minimum 50 % marks in English Language at 10th of 12th standard exam.

ii) Passed three years’ Diploma with 60% marks or four year’s Degree including lateral entry, with 50% marks in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering, or Electronics and Instrumentation or equivalent.

AGE LIMIT :  35 Yrs

DURATION :  4 Months

ELIGIBILITY :

Graduation in BE (Mechanical) Engineering / Naval Architecture with minimum marks of 50% in final year and with minimum 50% marks in English language at 10th or 12th or in Degree Exam.

AGE LIMIT : Maximum 25 Yrs

DURATION : 1 year’s

CAREER PATH :

1 year GME training

Exempted from appearing in meo class iv part a examination six months duly documented sea service as assistant marine engineer officer in charge of an engineering watch

Completion of advanced safety training courses aff, pscrb, mfa and three months preparatory course (optional) to obtain marine engineering officer class iv certificate of competency – appear for meo cl-iv part’ b’ mmd examination – obtain meo cl-iv certificate of competency

12 months approved sea service as meo cl-iv engineering officer in charge of an engineering watch

ELIGIBILITY : Pass in 12th Standard from recognized Board or its equivalent in Physics, Chemistry & Maths group in Class XII, and at least 50% in English .

AGE LIMIT :  17 to 22 Yrs

DURATION : 2 year’s
